Speech Club It was a very good year. Talent together with hard work brought members home from this year's speech meets with many honors... Linfield Tournament was its usual success... Corvallis Meet brought home two Firsts and two Second Awards... Among other awards, First Places were chalked up in five events by North's troop at the District Meet: Paul Nosbisch, Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Steve Chipps, Impromptu and Serious Interpg Brent Jones, Poetry, Ronda Flowers, Humorous Interp... Her cabinet was composed of the follow- ing North members: Sue Dancer, President of julie Brigantig Peggy Anunsen, Membership Chairmang Peggy Zeek, President of Kathleen MacArthurg Julie Dow, Intel-Club Treasurerg Kandis Brewer, President of Abbie Graham, and Thula Trullinger, Pub- licity Chairman. Kandis and Thula planned both social and service events that all Y-teens participated in throughout the year. Julie Briganti, a North club, was named Club of the year and also received the scrapbook award as they competed with the other nine clubs involved in senior Y-teens. flbozfe: Active Y-teens Sharon Skewis, Meredith Gilbertson, and Beth Rasmussen, who was World Fellowship Chairman this year, work on the drip paintings which were featured at the annual Cotton Ball, this year.
