e Cercle Francais The purpose of French Club is to promote 41 interest in the language by learning more about the culture, history, and geography of France. Starting off this year's club was the annual initiation banquet. Each student was asked to bring a French dish for this event. Presiding over French Club this year was Don Watson, and his cabinet consisted of Linda Wilbrect, vice-president, Francie Fitz- patrick, secretary, and Sam McCall, treasurer, Cin hats! Trails wound all over the campus, leading to the prize---chocolate gold!---at the high jump pits. Rounding out the year was a picnic with French Club at Bush's Pasture. German Club's enthusiasm produced the winning float in North's Spirit Week Competition. Their Viking ship, which highlighted the North-McNary football battle, was the year's most impressive activity. Latin Club Q-if . The 1967 officers of Latin Club from left to right are Vice-President, Mary Holmesg President, Lynette Coffmang Treasurer, Janice Leeg I and Secretary, Camie Brown. Their skill in leadership led to a very profitable and enjoyable year for Latin Club. L T. - '52 The purpose of Latin Club is to delve into the origin of ,lang- uages, to understand and appreciate the culture and customs of the ancient Roman civilization, and to enjoy the company of fellow Latin students. Latin Club is composed of approximately 40 students. Their advisor is the willing, able, and pert Miss Roberts. . qi! ll? At their annual initiation all new members were required to go through different forms of expression. When the officers were satisfied with their physical or oratorical efforts, they were officially announced members of Latin Club. 1
