All three are close enough to Salem so that many hours of skiing pleasure could be spent on their slopes. Enjoyment, relaxation, and meeting new people are the reasons listed by most members for skiing. All those interested in skiing were encouraged to join, and over thirty members activly took to the slopes weekly. 'S' Club S Club honors athletic achievement at North. It is open to any boy who has earned a Varsity letter. Under the leadership of Loren Wilson, President, and Mr. Egleston, advisor, this year's club enjoyed a successful year on the field as Well as behind the concession stand. Trails wound all over the campus, leading to the prize---chocolate gold!---at the high jump pits. Rounding out the year was a picnic with French Club at Bush's Pasture. German Club's enthusiasm produced the winning float in North's Spirit Week Competition. Their Viking ship, which highlighted the North-McNary football battle, was the year's most impressive activity.
