Queen For Knight I967 Queen For a Knight was held April 14 at a noon dance for the purpose of crowning a queen of clubs and her first and second crown princesses. janet Ashton, representing Future Farmers of America, was chosen queen by popular vote of the student body. Jeannie Collette and Sue Linnertz, candidates from Future Business Leaders of America and German Club, were the first and second crown princesses for the event. Banners decorated the gym on this special day and cookies were served as refreshments. Donna Herigstad, student body second vice-president, was general chairman. The other princesses who represented their club this year were: Margo Foote, Future Teachers of America, Evelyn Luers, Home Economics Club, Sue Cranford, Spanish Club, Jane Fletchall, Crescendo Club, Eileen Rue, Latin Club, Frankie Zeller, Future Medical Leaders, Terri Thompson, Ski Club, Rhonda Flowers, National Forensic League, Karen Stensrud, Drama Club, Nikki Mosher, International Relations League, Linda Gatlin, National Honor Society, Sandi Taylor, S Club, and Francine Fitspatrick, French Club. af' be wk 3? On March 31 the halls of North Salem were filled with laughter and oddly dressed students whom the teachers put up withf' The Twirp Day activities included a fantastic tug- o-war the canceling of the greased pig-race, whipped cream faces, and the black bag convention. Back drops, stage settings, costumes, make-up, music, and dialog were just a few of the factors to be co-ordinated. Mr. Rolloff and lighting specialist Mike Carriger solved many production problems.
