lt if 4 if ' , Typical landscape on the grueling North Marion cross country course. The course includes treacherous mudholes, a barnyard and woody hollows to harass the dauntless harriers. In this particular meet North placed above MCNary and South Salem, and Scott Bremmer placed 19th in a field of 240. Cross Country Scrambling through brambles and bushes, over barbwire fences and railroad tracks, and fording streams and mudholes, our dauntless Vik harriers had a better than average season. The bushmen's new coach Mr. Paldanius, guided his band to a victory over South, the first in the school's history since the split in '54. Scott Bremmer, the team captain, helped to inspire his fellow harriers to three victories in 'iff' five outings. . '. f , X -e .
