Can you tell whos left-handed? Curtis isn'r, James is, Vera isn't, Leslies not sure and Mark is Some lefties like Steve lil-ze ro wear their watch on the opposite hand, the right as-Q, .AQ Those who are often seem eave them out??? Now is that a manner in which a left-handed person should be treated? No way! A lefty is a versatile person with a lot of will power and patience because of the bothersome obstacles they must overcome. Even the simplest tasks that right-handers do everyf day become tough for a lefty. Writing on a regular notebook table is dMcult because the spiral rings get tn the way, comments Derrick Fitzgerald. 'Drlvihg a straight drive, another sfmplejob, is extremely hard for leftf handersf' according to Tim ln- gram. Because they have to over- come such hindrances as these, lefties develop determination and persistence. Are there advantages to being a left-handet? Sure there are a few. For example, 482, of major league first baseman are lefties, lt is easier for them to cover more 86 ground with right-handed glove, Darrel Strawberry, an out-fielder HCi?tf-lW5lGflQh for the New Yaris Mets, and Reg- gie Jaclsson, a right fielder for Calif fornia Angels have really turned their left-handedness into an ad! vantage. Left-handed people are often more imaginative and quite a few are talented artists, Michele angela, llapael and Leonardo were lefties, Left-handed french horn players have an advantage because the keys are played with the left hand and the right hand just holds the instrument. Some stu- dents even think writing is easier when you're a lefty, Lisa Roberts says, lt is easier to work from left to right when you are o left- hander than when you are a right-hander, One of the best benefits of it is the 'special atten- tion, explains Glenda Koontz. Derrick Fitzgerald realizes the benefits of being a lefty, he says, I like it because tts different from the others. Although it may be frustrating to be a lefty it has some advantages - lefties don't need to be left out, just appreciated,
