And what did you hat was the best part of the whole school year? The answer that most students would give was getting out of school far summer vaca- tion. For seniors their summer vaca- tion included one must - going to Myrtle Beach for graduation. These plans and reservations were always made months and some- times even a year ahead of this special time. They spent this time relaxing and being with their best high school buddies because who lsnows when they would get to see their classmates again. Some students went all out and do on your Summer Vacation? did their vacationing out of the country. George Shuping, for ex- ample, spent three fun-filled and educational weelss in Europe with mainly students from Salisbury l-ligh. l wash 't roa impressed with the teenagers aver there 'cause they were kind af shabby. Bur fr didn 'r bother me because I had a lar af fun with the other sruderirs I was with. Also Jeffery Cockrel traveled to the Alamo in Texas and to New Orleans. 'My trip ra Texas this summer was raa har ra handle, explained Jeff. Others were just satisfied with being out of school and celebrat- ed by having a picnic, talsing a trip to see a movie or just dancing, Teresa Pepper said, The time l spent with my friends made the summer more memorable. Summer vacation was always welcomed by all students when it came. By the time August rolled around, they were eager to get bacls in to the swing of school, but this didn't last long.
