l I I t l3est-in-thefshow honors go to Derricls Fitzgerald, Dwon Chawlle and Steve Cornelius during the 1985 Talent Shaw, Their original rappin routine was a big hit with the student body. 1 1 1 iw 1111i1 HL LHIYU Lil-' Hbbtib lthough students were here for an education, it was the special events that made student life exciting. During these special times, many students demonstrated their spe- cial assets. Homecoming spirit weels was one of the first of a series ot activities that added an extra twist to the school weels. Float building, band and football practice, spirit competition, the pep rally - almost ev' eryone was involved, Other activities throughout the year that encouraged ratal participation were the prom, field day, talent show, fashion show, drama Offering her own version of Shelia E 's song The Glornoorous Life during the l9B5 Talent Show is Sandy Keys productions, plus choral and band con- certs. Scores of talents and slsills were demonstrated. As important as the major features were, the everyday experiences of stu- dents were also worrh telling about. Not all of North's assets were tangible. As a small school, the students lsnew each other better, and got along well. Stories about friends - the good days, the bad days, and the crazy days - were as important and interesting as the others. The only problem was in trying to odd up all the assets with a limited number of pages, Getting to wear shorts and shades, and picnicing outside malse beach day more fun for Robert, Donald, .lim and Jonathon 65
