The varsity squad suffered through a 8 and 13 conference season, yet the leading scorer Audrey Hill was also the County's leading scorer. She averaged 17.23 points per game with her best be- ing 27 points against East Davidson. She said: l felr loose and ready ro playin rhe East Davidson and Southwest Guilford games. Although vve didn 't win, rhe team vvorlred together and d1dn'r glve up. Midway through the season, the JV girls lost rheir leading scorer Bobbi Sims to the varsity team. What could have been catastrophic to most teams turned our to be a rallying point for the JVs. They vvenr on to finish second in the conference Sims helped the ailing varsity sguad by pumping in double figures in her first game The varsity came on stronger in the second half of the season led by Hill and Sims vvith Down Kesler as the lead- ing rebounder.
