MARLENE ANTHONY Everything happens for the best. GEORGE AKINS (No picture — as George entered the Army— February 1, 1955) THELMA BARNES To laugh is to live. DONNA JOHNSON The shortest women have the longest men. 1955 SENIOR CLASS HISTORY Another year has passed — Another class has taken its place on the stage to receive diplomas-this—our Class of 1955 We broke all records in the magazine sale, and are very proud of our success. Each person worked hard, doing his individual job. Our Senior Play was presented on November 4 and 5, starring Nancy Jewell as Cornelia Otis Skinner, in the play called, Family Circle.” This was a three-act comedy, with a cast of twelve, under the direction of Miss French, our Senior Class Advisor. Then came our yearbook, one of our most difficult tasks. The class was divided into committees, and each one worked on a different phase of yearbook publica- tion. This was one of the triumphs of our senior year from which we shall always have great satisfaction. Our Washington Trip—The ultimate goal of our four years of high school! The moonlight on the Potomac, the sun on the Washington Monument, the atmosphere of the restaurants, the aroma of southern fried chicken, the solemnity of the Lincoln Memorial-all these beautiful memories shall linger in our hearts forever. Class Night and Commencement marked the beginning of our careers—and the end of our happy days here at school. It is with regret that we leave our Alma Mater--Dear Old North Rose High! 17

7£wtfflt i mtftTcstanmit The 24th day of June, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and fifty-five, we, the Class of 1955, of North Rose Central School, Town of Rose, in the County of Wayne, and the State of New York, being sad at heart at leaving our Alma Mater, but of perfect minds and memories, do make and ordain this our last will and testament. ARTICLES: 1, Marjory Gillette, leave my calm and dignified manner to all N. R. C.S. girls. I, Tom Hickey, leave my lost books, pencils, assignments, and good grades to anyone who finds them. 1, Leah Lipshitz, leave nothing. All I have, 1 really need. I, George Akins, leave my Best Wishes and Congratulations to the Class of 1956. Good Luck, Kids! I, Gary Fuller, leave my laugh to Miss French. I know you will take good care of it. I, Bill Davis, leave my working habits to Gilbert DeVay. Do your work instead of play. I, Grace Barnaba, leave my love for acting to Billy Dickinson---It will come in handy when your home- work isn't done. I, Eileen Catlin, leave my horse to Jack Price. You may need the extra horsepower some day, Jack. I, Alice Young, leave to Mary Horton my lock of red hair so she doesn't have to tint hers anymore. I, Nan Doolittle, leave my ability to hook ’em, heart and all, to Charlotte Knapp; use that hook before it gets rusty, Charlie. I, Beatrice Rose, leave my cheerleading ability to Jessie Hickey. Keep going and you'll make varsity again, Jessie. I, Marlene Anthony, leave my ability' to get my homework done on time to David Barnes. It really pays off, Dave. I, Richard Noyes, leave my electric ability to Don Gregory. You might need it in future Physics classes. I, Mar - MacDougall, leave my knack of getting into trouble to Bicket Clingcrman. Carry on, Bicket, 'cause you're only young once. I, Jerry Riggs, leave my height to Miss DeLisio. She needs it to look over the steering wheel of that big Pontiac. I, Sarah Caldwell, leave my ability to get a man to Helen Welkley. Hope you will use it right. I, Donna Johnson, leave my natural curly hair to Barbara Miller. This will come in handy, Barbara. I, Jack Bates, will a new set of basketball rules to Harvey Bames so he won’t have to make up his own. I, Ronald Matteson, leave my ability to keep a girl friend to Marvin Jensen. I, Don McMahon, leave my art ability to Carl K. Clingerman. The cars we draw aren't too fantastic. I, Thelma Barnes, leave my ability to get ready for dates on time to Midge Harrison. Remember, Midge, the early bird gets the worm. I, Pearl Henry, leave my love to gad about to Nancy Lee. I use ESSO. I, Earl Champlin, just plain leave!!! I, Larry Clingerman, leave to Dick Hall my ability to put cows before girls. I, Carl Davenport, leave my love for English to Florman DeWind. Good luck on those 1-o-n-g essays, F'lorman. I, Betty Patchen, leave all my squeaks and sour notes to the future clarinets of the N. R. C. S. Band. The best time to play them is during those 2—measure rests, huh, Helen? I, Nancy Jewell, leave my bowling ball to Joe Hickey. It rolls best in the gutter, Joe. I, Glen Loveless, leave my perfect attendance to Jack Price. Hope it equals mine. Jack. Lastly, we do make and ordain our esteemed Advisor, Celia French, to be the only and sole executor of this our Last Will and Testament. Whereof, we have set our hands and seal this Twenty-third day of June, nineteen hundred and fifty- five. Class of 1955
