RidgeVille's seven buses were skillfully manned by five men and two women. Mr. Donald Niebergal drove the bus which transported the Freedom Twp. school-children to their respective schools. The kitchen staff fulfilled one of the most difficult taks in school--satisfying the appetites of hundreds of people everyday. The responsibility of keeping the school neat and clean fell to the janitors. Janitors are often called upon for extra service--unlocking the school for absent-minded students, cleaning up after extracurricular activities, and many other re- questsg for which they deserve a note of praise. SERVICES BE EFI TED CHOOL fAboVe lefty Mr. Vernon Hesterman counsels a stu- dent on preparing for a career. fAbove rightj Miss Kathleen Stauffer adresses one of her classes. fLeftj Mrs. Virgie Kutzli pictured with her work in the library. Mr. Vernon Hesterman, Guidance counselor, and Mrs. Virgie Kutzli, librarian, were always ready to help a student with a problem or in need of infor- mation. Besides personal counseling, Mr. I-Iesterman performed several other duties: supervising registra- tion, conducting freshman guidance classes, ad- ministering tests, providing advice and information about colleges and careers. Mrs. Kutzli kept the books in order and in good repair. She taught many library skills to the student librarians, and her help with research problems was invaluable at term paper time. Again in 1966 the services of a student teacher from Defiance College were available to RHS. Miss Kathleen Stauffer conducted speech and 9th grade English classes for most of the first semester. She also advised the Pep Club during that time.
