Mr. Harry Sharp Qabovej served as principal for two- thirds of the year. He attended Edinboro State and held B.S. and M.S. degrees in education. In addition to teaching English and Speech he was advisor for the Senior Class and the Student Council. ADMINISTRA T10 Providing the best possible school program was the main responsibility of the administration. Principal Harry Sharp painstakingly organized the class schedule to meet the students' needs and interests and to com- ply with state requirements. This schedule was imple- mented through the combined efforts of Superintend- ent F. F. I-Iesterrnan, Mr. Sharp, and later Mr. Dan Norris, who became acting principal when Mr. Sharp resigned to take a position in another school system. These men also worked with the other teachers to keep courses, textbooks, and materials up-to-date. Another important part of the administration's job was to enforce school regulations and make purchases authorized by the board of education. For example , a hall monitor system was established during the 1966-67 school year. Also, a new bus was purchased for a new route to include the students of St. John Iutheran School, Freedom Twp. This was necessary because of the state school bus regulations passed in 1966. Mrs. Marie Schnitkey frightj served as secretary of the school office. Mr. F. F. Hesterman Qabovej received his A.B. degree from Valparaiso University and his M. A. from Bowling Green State University. He carried the responsibility of administering the school's needs as superintendent.
