In the common everyday occurrences of a Freshman's life certain things stand out-- the baggy overalls on Freshman Day, Ridge- ville's first homecoming, and making friends with the students from St. John, Freedom. These unique experiences are mingled with a prescribed amount of school work to add up to a year of diversified activity. The fun and merriment of Freshman Day were followed that evening by a party given in honor of the Freshman by the Sophomores. All of the Freshman proudly cheered as their first attendant to the Royal Court, Cheryl Damman, was announced. Registration also caused some extra prob- lems this year with the future vocational school having to be considered. Guiding their class through the hectic Freshman year were QL.-R., Brian Bickel, V. Running the concession stand at the basketball games was a new and often trying experience for the Class of '6 9. Band and Chorus contest and basketball games in- cluded many Sophomores. A few Sophomores were privileged to be members of the Varsity basketball team, while others played key roles on the Reserve team. The clothing which was popular with the students this year was often labeled as Carnaby Street attire Paisley prints, corduroy slacks, textured hose and 1967.
