Q Prejudice and Puff were the bases on which the Junior and Senior classes of Ridgeville built two very successful plays. Thunder on Sycamore Street was presented on October 21 and 22 by the Senior class. Although Joseph Blake's prison record was the re- sult of an unfortunate traffic accident, the neighbors did not want that kind of person in their respectable neighborhood. A mob, under the direction of Frank Morrison, finally forms with the intent of getting rid of the Blakes--forcibly, if necessary. Justice prevails in the end as the Blake's regain their rightful place in society. The Junior class displayed their theatrical talents on the nights of April 21 and 22. Their play The Perfect Idiot was a delightful comedy in 3 acts. Discovering that Puff, the star athlete, is in danger of becoming ineligible a group of his friends ask the school genius to help them out. Dan Tennyson, a type of person who seems to read dictionaries for bedtime stories, agrees to help them out. He con- ceives the idea of using a form of hypnotism. Hi- larious happenings result when Puff recites poetry, the hypnotism machine falls into the wrong hands and Dan intentionally fails his college entrance exam. Susan Rohrs, Marilyn Amos, Randy Bremer, and Judy Reiser enact a portion of the play.
