Dance Following the High School Night Program a dance is held in the Multi-Purpose Room in honor of the queen and her court. Each year this dance is sponsored by the Student Council. It is thoroughly enjoyed by everyone, and is the best attended dance of the year. For the first time, the music is provided by Ridge- ville's own Stage Band. Members of the Student Council sell the tickets as students and adults Wait patiently for the queen and her court to arrive . The music for the dance is provided by the T, Ridgeville Stage Band, under the direction I of Mr, William Engler. The first dance of the evening is reserved for the members of the royal court and their escorts . The night's festivities are climaxed as the students dance the last dance before re- turning home . 39

First prize in the Talent Contest Went to Marilyn and Irene Henry's vocal duet of How Great Thou Art. Second prize Went to Sally Beck and her twirling routine. Another act in the contest is this school skit performed by Curt Stamm, Bill Boyer, Debbie Lienau, Janice Smith, Barbara Arnos, and Sandra Lange . Other entertainment for the evening is pro- vided by the girls' ensemble . Nancy Gerken's beautiful piano solo Long Ships Won her third prize in the Talent Contest. Talent Contest The prize-drawing tickets are handed to the assistant manager, Bruce Fortier, by Gail Lewis and Blake Kuntz, as manager jerry Bostelman turns the barrel which contains the ticket stubs .
