UNSUNG HEROES We all know that behind evet7 successful music group or band is a small nucleus of dedicated people. These people are willing to work long hours and sacrifice their personal time for the good of their group. These peopl e include managers, roadies, secretaries, agents, sound and light crews, wardrobe coordinators, and the like. All must work together to make the band the best it can possibly be. But when Grammy time rolls around and the awards are handed out, the most these people get is a brief thank-you on the part of the star. For the most part, they are all but forgotten. Yet had they not all persevered, that group would not have its place in the limelight. 26

Like a popular rock or pop band, a school must have some dedicated people in the wings. These people supervise all the little details that come to be so important to the success of the school. While we as students are all aware of our teachers, principals, and coaches, we are forgetful of the less-apparent but just as important positions held by two remarkable women. Mrs. O’Donnell and Mrs. White have single-handedly run the Resource Room and have su- pervised its contents for the past few years. We at the yearbook decided it was time to acknowledge these two women for their un- faltering service to the school and its students. Their work has made the difference to many a student, and we would like them to know how much they are truly appreciated. So, the Class of 1986 would like to dedicate its yearbook to these unsung heroes, in hopes that we can demonstrate our thanks in a way other than with words.
