Mr. Carpenter started work at the High School on April 1, 1950. A reception, honoring his 31 years of service, was held on January 27, 1982 where he received the School Committee ' s Award of Merit. A plaque was also hung in the lobby of the Batchelder School. The Class of 1982 would like to wish Mr. Carpenter luck in all his future endeavors. The plaque reads: For thirty-one years, Walter F.
