To a person who smiles not only with her mouth but with her eyes as well, who greets all with a friendly hello , whose genuine interest in her students is seen both in and out of the classroom whose roots are deep in North Reading soil; both family and friends surround her. This is Mrs. Mentus, whether she be dissecting, running with Mrs. Kornechuck, or helping a student. It is to this person that we dedicate our Green and Golden Years , wishing her well in her plans for the future. mm !{โ– ยฃ ' Tffgg FffJ rr,-- - .vย Y VVy f V v ยฃ โ€ขโ– โ€™ WW AW Mf Mwโ„ข โ€ข ... - MinJr T ... ... The voice belongs of course, to jeff Strong our leader in school spirit and sports interest. His undying dedication to the high school ' s athletic department has benefited all, from the athlete to the spectator and it is this time that we choose to recognize his efforts and thank him for them. 20 I During these years the young tree develops . It is the only single instrument of the future that will construct any lasting foundation that is beneficial to humanity as a whole. Good teachers are those who have dedi- cated their lives to young people and not everyone is ready to do this. Mr. Lynch, however, was perhaps one of the most dedicated teachers North Reading has ever seen, not only as a classroom teacher, but as a friend and counselor to all his students. He was willing to give of himself above and beyond what was normally required. The memory of Mr. Lynch will not fade away quickly in the minds of anyone who has ever come in contact with him. This is particularly true of his students. Mr. Lynch, whose knowledge of the natural world exceded most textbooks and which was of ex- ceptional value when coupled with his teaching ability. He taught not only the biological and physical sciences but also respect for life. His deep feeling for human relationships enabled him to gain the respect of everyone, even the least motivated young people of our school, whom he skillfully and firmly guided. His loss, felt not only by his family, his school and all those close to him, but also by society, has left a void, which can only be filled by loving memories. 149 All My Sons Joe Unni Russell Greene Father and son confrontation The Masquers Club presented Arthur Miller ' s play All My Sons on November 18 and November 19. It was later entered in a drama festival at Emerson College. On stage and backstage Final moments before the curtain rises: )anis Potter, Andy Sawler, Fred Rice, Theresa O ' Brien, Laurie Crowe, Steven Rodgers, Steven Parks, Dennis Moore, Sandy Lynch.
