OOTB LL 5 5 V 'ye at This fall Coach Donahue and his assistants, Coach Leone and Coach Sadowski, started with what many rated as a poor team. However, with hard work on the part of both the coaches and the team, 1960's record of 6 wins and 3 losses was the finest in six years. The first victim of the small but potent Raiders was the burly Black Knights of Stoughton whom the Red and Black defeated soundly. The Raiders next faced powerful Milton and went down to defeat after a hard-fought contest. But the determined Raiders worked diligently and came up with four successive 1 PLL , . Rx... 28 Coach Donahue victories, defeating Taunton, Cambridge Latin, Brain- tree, and Leominster. However, this streak was des- tined to be broken at the hands of a scrappy Dedham team. This jinx was to remain another week as North went down to defeat to a great Hingham powerhouse. Then came North Quincyis finest hour, as David met Goliath on Thanksgiving with David winning the tur- key. And so, on November 24, 1960, the great Donahue era at North Quincy High School came to a glorious finale with the decisive 28-20 victory over Quincy.
