Principal JOHN W. WALSH liwo Dads hosting a coltt-tail hour. OUR SCH00 The Church, the Home and the School form the great pyramid upon which all civilization is founded. They are the catalysts of the soul. ln suhtle propor- tions do these forces mould the human spirit. We emerge as individuals, strong or weak, in proportion to their influence upon us. We cannot escape this truths enor would we if we could. XYe are the children of these timeless forces, strong as they are strong, weak as they are weak. Empires rise, prosper, and die. Defeat and death come not from without but from within. As are our churches, homes, and schools so are we. Their strength is the barometer of our culture. It must, therefore, be inevitably toward them that we look for our character, not to H-homhs. 'lihey are the forces of integration and growtheanything less, of dissolution and destruction. Institutions, however, do not exist without individ- uals to direct them. People, alert, dedicated to service hreathe into them a dynamic vitality. Their heritage is passed from generation to generation through our children. You are about to fulfill your roles in this un- ending process. It is our fervent prayer that you have been well-prepared, and that you may strengthen rather than weaken the traditions you pass on. .-Xs you are the products of those who preceded you, so shall your children he of you. With the Spanish in their ageless wisdom we say, Yaya con Dios eeGo with God. 'I ' Zu ' ' C1,Q4,x.,f 6.0,
