TRACK The Breeze and I Track is synonymous with year-round sporting events at North. The Indianapolis Race Track has nothing on our front-yard triangle in the spring and fall outdoor practices what with the heavy traffic of accelerated speed demons whizzing around the course. just about the time when jack Frost bites the air with the warning: Either run with no breather between events or freeze to death, the boys desert the yard to the snow ploughs, enter the build- ing, and climb the stairway to Heaven, where far from providing an angelic accompaniment they, quite the contrary, serenade the teachers burning the mid- night oil with pounding drum beats to the rhythm of their squad maneuvers. ll lx Varsity Baseball BA EBALL Hit and Run The thoughts of our young men at North are turned to baseball all year round even though the frozen ground post- pones actual practicing until the spring. As soon as friend Ground Hog has poked his head out of his winter hole, the potential hitters, catchers, and pitchers can no longer control the urge to slug, signal, and curve that all important sphere over that equally important home bag.
