FUTURE l-ICMEMAKERS OF AMERICA You're having a party? You don't know what to do about serving re- freshments? Go down to 126 and ask F. H. A. for help. They'll be glad to help out. Oh, and be sure to get some ribbon sandwiches! Does this sound familiar? Almost everyone, including the faculty, has at one ti1ne or another tasted that delicious F. H. A. food and found it satisfying. And then the coffee hour during Education Week won some more friends for the club. Fun with food is also a primary function of F. H. A. After the hilarious pizza party each girl went away with a sinile on her face and a lot of delicious pizza tucked under her belt. Anyone who happened to saunter in on the night that the club supper was cooked suddenly found an apron tied around her waist and a paring knife in her hand. This year Geraldine Dowling and Jean Gordon, both seniors, were state president and state secretary respectively. Adviser, Miss Melansong president, Theresa Depreyg vice president, Carol Draheinig treasurer, Nancy Tibbetts: secretary, Carolyn Marks. ...gf x O I i ' V , g :,'L',,. f Q. U. , R , .. I L X ,. CHEERLEADERS Almost every girl has, at one time or another, said to herself, Gee! I wish I were a cheerleader! But this unsuspecting little daydreamer doesn't realize that the cheerleaders job isn't everything it's made out to be. It's a lot of hard work. Almost any afternoon at practice such exclamations as 'KOh! my achin' back! and No, that's not right! Let's try it again. can be heard. But the girls come through with Ilying colors, and we, the spectators, see only the skill and agility with which they go through their routines. Can anyone imagine a football game without The Pyramid or a basketball game without The Beam ? Of course not! So let's all give three cheers for Ann Richards, Bernadette Hannon, Emily Newcomb, Alice Vincent, Judith Marr, Barbara YVhelton, .lane Mitchell, and Jayne jackson. They deserve them! Adviser, Mr. Forest, head cheerleader, Ann Richards.

BIOLQGY CLUB Are you coming to Biology Club tonight? XVe're having colored slides, you know! Didn't we have a grand time on our field trip last week? Those frank- lurts were just delicious. Remember when we were all climbing over those rocks looking for moss? I can just feel the results now! Have you heard about the famous scientists in our midst? They broad- casted on the radio last month about their white rat project. You should have heard them: they sounded so dignified. l'll meet you out infront of school at eight, sharp, next Saturday morning! VVe want to take advantage of that low tide to collect a lot ol' specimens along Wollastoxi Beach. If you have heard any ol' these above remarks, you can be sure a member of North's popular Biology Club was speaking. Adviser, Miss Schields: president, Frances Crowley: vice president, Dorothy Young: secretary, Barbara Mahoney: treasurer, Marianne Maguire.
