OUR MISS BRO0 9 On November 7-8 Thesplan Troupe 1478 presented the comedy OUR MISS BROOKS. The cast had plenty of fun por- traying teachers, administrators, Board members and students. After eight weeks of rehearsal, all involved felt more empathy for those in positions of author- ity. Kim Wagner played the title role of Miss Brooks, an English teacher who dreams of romance and Caribbean cruises. v . . Hut 'tw X 'AI' .,, I. XA 1' The object of her romantic dreams is the athletic director. Hugo Longacre, por- trayed by Ben Giltz. When principal David Sandusky insists that she direct the school play, her dreams are shattered. Conflict arises as Miss Brooks and Hugo stan to argue over the use of the gym. Other problems come about when Ted, the star basketball player, Oon Southj decides to quit the team to take the lead role in the play. More difficulties occur when the Board president's daughter Rhonda qMonta O'Hai.rJ is refused the female lead in favor of Jane Drew CPaula Wisenerl . Sparks fly as Rhonda's mother threatens Miss Brook's job. Although viewers were nearly choked by a storm of soapflake snow, the play was so true to life that it was enjoyed by cast members and audiences alike. Performers were: D. Jones, K. Kelly, M. O'Halr, I. Schubert, C. Todd, L. Summers, D. Sandusky, D. Brooks. K. Wagner, T. White, B. Giltz. D. Tippin. P. Wisener. I. South. R. Clodfelter. B. Boller. L. Walton.
