'We must make wiser decisions based on careful study of facts and possible solutions. Sound scholarship and serious purpose are es- sential to victory. This will be more true of the peace which we sincerely hope will come. Men and women, technically trained and thoroughly disciplined will create a world democracy in which man can at- tain a higher degree of welfare and happiness. North Platte High School points with pride to former students Whose sound scholarship is now assert- ing itself. As time marches on, may the same feeling characterize those from the home school who will be watching you. Principal L. W. Nelson serves as trus- tee of the Presbyterian church, chairman of the state board of control of Nebraska high school activities association, mem- ber of Kiwanis club.
