Senior Class The senior class organized in September electing the following oflicers: George Voseipka, president, Dorothy Dixon, vice- presidentg Beverly Golden, secretaryg and Jack Kuhns, sergeant-at-arms. Mr. Nelson appointed the following sponsors: Roy W. Mayer, chairman, J. J. Johnston, H. H. Newman, C. F. W'right, Miss Florence Antonides, Miss Cleo Pack- er, and Miss Shirley Potter. At the first class meeting Dr. C. K. Morris of the Uni- xeisity of Nebraska discussed voc ztions and piepu ttion for college with the seniors fn 7!ze G SENIORS .T UNIORS SOPHOMCRES FRESHMEN Top left: Fitzpatrick, Miller, Shuler, normal train- ers, are cleaning a chicken in agriculture class. Just before Christmas the seniors en- tertained the juniors at a prom held in the crystal ballroom of the Pawnee Hotel. The ballroom was decorated with a large Christmas tree, sprays of evergreen, and tinsel festooned from the ceiling. Between dance numbers the hosts provided a floor show in which Mariel Brinkema gave a reading, the girls sextette sang, and Jack Kuhns presented a comedy skit. Starting out today to conquer the world tomorrow, was the senior motto which was adopted in April. Rosebuds were selected as the class flowery rose and blue were the colors chosen. Bottom left: Senior officers George Voseipka, Bev- erly Golden, Dorothy Dixon, and Jack Kulins. In Memoriam The senior class mourned deeply one of its best-liked members, Harold Sawyer, whose sudden death Wednesday, January third left a void in the class roll. Har- old was enrolled in the bookkeeping and accounting course. He was on the midget football team, a member of junior band, be- longed t o B o y Scouts, Sea Scouts, and worked on the Round-Up.

Staff Work The annual stafl' held regular meetings every Thursday after school the first se- mester they met during first period every day and received one credit for classvvork. Meetings after school and at seven o'clock were in session the second semester in 108 in order the push the progress on depart- mental work. To raise extra funds, the stafl' sponsored an afternoon school dance using the 'theme Sadie Hawkins Day. The girls asked the boys and paid the admission. They are receiving money from Mary Gormly, Louise Sander, and Betty Campbell, home room representatives. odeon was furnished by Maxine Marble, a member of the annual stall. The S15 taken in was profit. Old annual pictures were also auctioned to the students who attended the dance. At the meetings held in the evenings. the annual statll had a good time. One eve- ning' llette Brown brought her radio and they listened to The Pot of' Gold pro- gram, Fibber McGee and Molly , and Bob Hope while they worked. Every page ot' the Annual was worked out in detail here. All the pictures for the yearbook were mounted at the evening' meetings. Bottom right: The first half of the Annual was divided into four sections.
