Specials - Secretaries Miss Fern Breternitz has been an eflicient secretary for Mr. Braham since 1924. Miss Breternitz graduated from the North Platte High School in 1922. She 'took an active part in school activities. She is fond of the color orchid. Reading is her hobby. She takes care of the books for the school board. Miss Ruth Koch is Mr. Nelson's pleasant and eiiiciont secretary. Ruth graduated from the North Platte High School with the class of 1935. She is always ready 'to give students any available information and keeps the oiiice in smooth running o1'der. She is partial to the color yellow. ,'.,,,.......- m J ig' 1 .. s L ' .3 as :V I Miss Helen Wright is the friendly school nurse at North Platte High School. This is Miss Wright's first year in North Platte. She received her nurse's training and her R. N. degree at Hastings, Nebraska, and took her Public Health Work at the Uni- versity ot' Michigan. Miss Wright is an amiable person in that she has no pet peeve. O. A. Johnson has been truant officer of the entire North Platte school district for the past sixteen years. Mr. Johnson spends his spare time, when weather permits, working in his garden and raising flowers. Mr. Johnson has an obliging personality and has the unique ambition ol' wanting to be a good American citizen.
Student Secretaries Recording and tiling absences and tardies for at- tendance records keep Elaine Peterson, Lila Mae Enzminger, and Jean Eberly, secretaries for Miss Antonides, quite busy every day. Top left. ln the school library Marjorie O'Brien, Dorothy Saunders, Elizabeth Webster, and Lorina Bunting check out books and magazines, and replace books on shelves to assist Miss Disbrow. Second left. Betty Raye Knott, Vera Varichek, and Doris John- son are the student secretaries for Mr. Wright. These girls check papers, record grades, and type copy for the Round-Up. Third left. Answering letters, filing records, and checking in equipment are the duties of Arlene Lannin, Eleanor McCrone, Laurine Hanson, and Jeanne Boyer, who work for Mr. Wilson in the athletic office. Recording band demerits, and merits, filing music, and checking purchases keep busy Colleen Mich- ener, Henrietta Stewart, and Betty Kuhns, secre- taries for Mr. Anderson in the hand room. Top right. Doris Scott, Lois Wickwire, Mildred Kock, Erdino McMichael, Faye Jensen, and Ruth Fletcher, stu- dent secretaries in the principal's office answer the phone, send out announcements, and type records., and file materials.
