This year's Homecoming is one that will not soon be forgotten. The day started out with our annual parade down Mainstreet from the school to Island Park. The parade featured the Band and each candidate riding in a sportscar. The weather held for the parade, but by game time it was poru- ing down rain. The rain continued throughout the en- tire game but North Penn's faithful fans stuck it out to see their team play. The Gelling ready for the big day! weather made it very difficult to play and the game was riddled with a lot of setbacks. Just before haltfime. our quarterback Steve Brion was injured which hurt the team. Our Panthers played well but because of injuries and missed scoring opportunities, the team was defeated by Wellsboro 13 to 0. During halftime, the Homecoming Candidates braved the storm to stand on the field for the crowning ceremony. The Band, which usually stands behind the candidates was kept off the field by the weather so as not to ruin the instruments. Jill Hodder was crowned as this year’s Homecoming Queen, with Barb Cowan as the first runner up. Sieve Brion back for a pass. The Queen and her court. Barb Cowan, our first runner up.
