In just a short period of time she has been of immeasurable help to us both in and out of the classroom. Her genuine interest in her subject is readily conveyed to her classes, a fact which makes learning both easy and enjoyable. She also shows us the importance of developing awell-rounded personality by sponsoring extra-curricular activities such as National Honor Society, Yearbook, and Cheerleading; and by readily chaperoning social affairs such as dances and fan buses to athletic events. She and her husband, who is also a faculty member at North Penn, are recent graduates of Pennsylvania State University. It is therefore with deep gratitude and pride that we dedicate this edition of the Pennsonian to . . . MRS. MARY GREGG 4 5- Whether sharing moments of humor with her students or involved in the paperwork of teaching, Mrs. Gregg has set an example for all at North Penn to follow. 5 FOREWORD 9------------ 9------- As our school days draw to a rapid close, we, the class of '67, must pause for a moment to evaluate the first years of our lives. For the past twelve years, we have been prepared to assume responsible and useful positions in a modern world. Our instruction is now complete and each of us must decide how we can best serve society. Some will go on to higher educa- tion, some will fulfill their military obligations, and some will begin immediate service to their community. But, regardless of which road is taken, it will be taken by individuals who are capable and willing to make their own decisions. In the years to come, we hope that this Yearbook will be successful in its purpose of preserving the memories of the people, places, and events which played such an important part in developing us as young adults. All the mem- bers are to be commended for their willingness to give their time and effort toward the continual improvement of our educational system. 7 “Of high ideals and virtue was his speech; A nd gladly would he learn, and gladly teach. —Chaucer Faculty And Administration Dr. William Igoe Superintendent of Schools To the class of 1967: As you prepare for your graduation exercises, may I offer my congratulations on your achieve- ment. May I suggest that you consider this not the end of your educational experience but that you think of it only as one rung of a ladder leading to a suc- cessful and rewarding life. Your education must not stop now. It must be a continuous and evolving experience. You will soon take your place in a world full of tension and unrest. No one can foresee what the future holds. We do know that this is a world full of opportunity for those willing to work and to pur- sue diligently the tasks assigned to them. This may entail considerable sacrifice and there will be times when you may wonder if it is worth the effort. Those who succeed will be those who persevere. Throughout your life I hope that you will accent the positive and that you will do good because you know it is right, not because you are afraid of doing what is wrong. My best wishes go with you for the years that lie ahead. May each of you enjoy a full and an abun- dant life. Sincerely, William D. Igoe William J.
