DEDICATION It is with gratitude and appreciation that we, the class of 1966, dedicate our yearbook to a member of the faculty who has been so devoted to the teaching profession and his students. He not only aided us in our studies, but he was also looked to as a counsellor and a friend. He has made us realize the importance of a good education, and he has instilled upon us that learning never ceases, but continues throughout our entire life. He has shown us how to become good citizens, and he has given us the desire to achieve a worthy goal in life. He has diligently taught at the Blossburg school for thirty-six years. He began his work after he majored in science at Bucknell Univer- sity. It was the re that he received his B.A. and his M.A. He presently teaches chemistry and biology. He is not the only member of his family who is employed at our school system. His son received his degree in social studies at Mansfield State College and teaches world cul- tures and geography here. His wife is a third grade teacher in North Penn's elementary divi- sion. They are a greatly admired family. He has a cheerful personality and always has a smile for everyone. He is a man of great character and is respected by all. Therefore, we wish to dedicate this edition of the PENNSONIAN to a man who is our friend and teacher -- Mr. James R. Warren.

In the following pages, the members of the 1966 Pennsonian staff present what we hope will serve as a lasting tribute to North Penn High School. Since the class of '66 is the last to graduate from North Penn, it is especially important that this yearbook embodies a complete picture of our school. It is, of course, possible to capture but a small portion of the spirit of our school with a camera and pen. Many of the unforgettable incidents, whether schoolwide or personal, cannot possibly be pre- served in a book. We hope that the pictures and descriptions in this yearbook - of people, places, and events - will help recall many fond memories of the past years at North Penn. FOREWORD
