Principal At a time when our nation is so critical and interested in the quality of education for our youth, we pause to take stock of what the Senior Class of 1959 may have missed in their high school course. We hope that you, as members of this class, have not been too badly trained for your future work or advanced schooling. I believe that those who have truly made a reasonable effort to help themselves be properly schooled in the basic education offered to them and who also have taken the opportunity to participate in the activities of recreation, athletics and citizenship, should feel that they can take the next step with reasonable assurance of average success. To those who may have passed up many of the above opportunities through lack of application or a desire to play and get through with the least possible effort, you may find some problems in the future. May I say that one of the most difficult problems for both parents and teachers is to convince a child that lack of preparation for adulthood is a serious problem. This can best be done while youth is growing up into such adulthood. May I wish you all success to the extent to which you may apply yourself to the opportunities that will be yours in the future.
