The Cecil E. Hackney Chapter of the National Beta Club has been very active this year. As a way of saying thanks, the club Presented the maids and the custodian fruit baskets at Thanksgiving. ln early December, the Betas ce ebrated Christmas with a delicious spaghetti dinner. February was a very busy month. Witw the help of the 33 new members, the club sold candy as a money-making project. In late February, the N.IVl. Beta Club attended the District Beta Meeting in Trinity. The club is very proud of Ronnie Wallace, who was elected as the 1977-78 District President. Connie Enloe was elected by Ronnie to serve as treasurer. For the first time, the l District Beta Club meeting will be held at North Moore i next year. In April, 43 members attended the State T Beta Convention is Asheville.
