The birds still sing And the flowers still grow, But it is hard to understand why. Have they not been told Of the death of a friend? Don't they know life has come to an end? Or maybe they know More than we do Maybe they know his soul Is safe and his spirit still free. And maybe they know that this was meant to be. Nlaybe they can see what we don't see. For us it brings heartache and grief And we feel empty, helpless and worthless inside But maybe God blessed The flowers and the birds -- Maybe, just maybe, He gave them insight instead of words. That must be what He did for them! Because they are still growing, Blooming and free. And if they didn't know something That we don't know Would they still want to bloom and grow? g Yes God must have told them leor sure that it is all good. And that Jimmy is safe and his spirit is still free So let's be thankful For the flowers and birds 1 And the insight God gave them, instead of words.
