Spirit? How About Homecoming? Homecoming spirit wos said to be higher than previous years. Spirit roising started off with the traditional decorated corners in the commons. The sophomores took the victory with the theme Gone with the Wind”. The sen- iors come In second with the theme Stripes . The juniors' theme wos Whip If , ond the freshmen followed with the theme Connonboll Run”. School spirit continued with the majority of the seniors dressing in ormy outfits on the doy of Home- coming. The Homecoming gomes motivated o lot of students with the seniors winning the most games. Some of the gomes were the egg toss, the pyramid, the tri- cycle race, the pie throwing con- test, ond many more. Even though the weather wos cold, that didn’t stop mony people who come to watch the crowning of the queen and the football gome with Lebanon. Susan Mellody wos crowned queen by 1980 queen Robin Ge- phart ond escorted by Chris Jack- man. The two other senior girls hoping for o win were Lisa Norton, escorted by Dreff Welliever and Kelly Carpenter, escorted by Pot Risner. When Susan wos asked how If felt to be crowned queen she sold, It was a surprise and very nerve rocking. Homecoming ended with the Lebanon Tigers beating the North Montgomery Chargers In o close game 7-0. Future queen Molly Hildebrand ond her escort Nick Shelton prepore to give flowers ond the crown to the queen. These seniors ore dressed In ormy outfits to fit their motto from the movie Stripes . Up The Down Staircase The annual Fall play of North Mongomery was held November 12 13. The producotion was Up the Down Staircase , directed by Danise Walker and Carole Taylor.
