Anchor Strives to Serve Serving their school and community are the members of Anchor Club, now ending their fourth year at North Miami High. Maintaining a 2.8 av- erage, the girls develop iniative, prepare for the duties of citizenship, and learn to cooperate with others. Working under their motto, i'Anchored We Hold, the members hold bake sales, help with the United F und, Cancer, and Tuberculosis drives, and sponsor Health Week. Anchor placed in the Homecoming Float contest this year, and also take part in many other activities around the school to promote spirit. An honorary member of Anchor is this year's foreign exchange student from Chile, Claudio Aguirre. Anchor Club members also go to hospitals and homes for the aged to entertain the patients by singing and reading.
