Our infant school opened its doors to a 54 member faculty ten years ago. just as this new school was being initiated by the young, eager, students in their effort to adjust, our faculty was undergoing much the same orientation program. Our teachers were under great stress due to the crowded, unfinished conditions of the building. They were forced to instruct their students in competition with crews of workmen and torrential rains which necessitated the adjournment of school the first day. These obstacles never daunted the pioneer teachers' spirit. The spirit of building, the freshness of starting a new venture inspired the students to aid their teachers. These teachers realized the potential of their new school. They could see that the ingredients for an outstanding school were present even then- enthusiasm and anticipation of the students and administration. All the people involved realized they were charter members in an organization they could contribute to and which would in tum influence their lives. These charter members were joined each year by new groups of faculty members all ready to add their individual building blocks to the construction of the rapidly growing building. Each year the teachers came with new ideas, and energy to build on the strong foundation already established. The faculty, an important group of builders who have instructed their students since the chaotic opening days through the years to the present, are an integral part of the growth of our school during its first ten years of progress.
