X In 1951 E. L. Constance junior High boasted of a student body of 1,334. Now in 1962, North Miami Senior High points with pride at a present enrollment of 3,357. This growth in the number of students is typical of the growth of all facets of our school. A decade has gone, but student's memories have lingered. Those first students have vivid recollections of their new, unfinished building. They adjusted to the newness, realizing the growth that was yet to come. This growth was not only due to the addition of building blocks to an unfinished building, but to advancement in pride and love for a new school which can rest only in each student. The years saw an addition in student enrollment which brought the traditions and policies that have become as much a part of our school as the students who attend the classes each day. When, after 7 years, the seventh-ninth grades were dropped, we became North Miami Senior High, grades ten-twelve. This high school had its beginning as a junior high and evolved into a senior high. This change was like the change that our tenth graders experience from their first day of attendance in high school to their graduation day. Their last three years of education see the greatest progress and growth of their entire educations. The moments in the classroom, working with the other students and teachers, prepare young people for productive lives in society. Cay moments, along with the serious, all contribute to lasting memories. These memories are compounded each year for the student, all part of his individual growth, all part of the growth of our school.
