The teachers Who meet with success enjoy this gratifying experience, the others keep trying. This education has an important purpose. High school students mature so rapidly they must take on responsibility long before their parents ever did. In a few years We will have the world handed to us, with all its defects. The job of correcting these defects is left up to the enterprising young people now graduating high school. WE have just compiled ten years of progress. We have grown colisiderably but the greatest growth is yet to come. Since 1951 Cpg. 2.1 our school has grownland in the process of growing has changed in many ways. So ends the first decode of progress Through all the trials and tribulations of school life Mr Rice can always be seen with a smile. i ,v

Mr. Rice talks to the school board concerning school poli- cies. Mr. Rice relaxes at a football game and discusses proceed- ings with Mr. Niles. A Successful School Depends Upon Its Principol Mr. W. E. ,Rice has made North Miami High a very successful school in the three years that he has been principal. He has guided our school in its steady growth and administered to its many needs. Coupled with his ready wit and friendly smile, Mr. Rice has not only been an administrator, but also a friend to the faculty and student body alike. For this he is admired and respected. Even with all his work, our principal may be seen at various school functions through the year, such as pep rallies, assemblies, sports events, ban- quets, and meetings.
