Dianne Patterson Always smiling, gay and lighthearted is Dianne Patterson, president of Sorrota. She has worked to better the school through the Student Council as Inter-Club Council representative and Student Council Representative. Her interest in music is expressed in her membership in Marching Band and Concert Band. Dianne has done extensive work in her church's Sunday School. Alan Levan Dependable, and diligent in his work, Alan Levan has been noted for his fine Work with the National Forensic League and Thespians. Alan was on the Inter-Club Council and secretary of publicity on the Student Council. Alan is the president of his youth group at his temple, and the junior Achieve- ment of Greater Miami. He was elected Mayor and Senator at Boyis State and vice-president of South Eastern Speech and Drama Institute. Alan has also received many first-place awards in public speaking. E 195

Mary Howard Lipscomb Radiating warmth and sincerity, Mary Howard quickly makes even a total stranger feel at ease. Her activities have reflected her sparkling person- ality over the years. She has worked diligently to make the proms better by serving on the sophomore and junior proms committees. Last summer Mary was elected Supreme Court justice at Cirl's State and she has received the Optimist,s Club Outstand- ing Citizenship Award. Mary Howard has par- ticipated in many community drives and is very active in her church group. 194 Don Dickerson Representing North Miami High as good will ambassador, Don Dickerson has sown the seed of friendship both here and abroad. Don has served on our Student Council as president of the Inter- Club Council, and as a delegate to several con- ventions. In other extra-curricular activities, Don has been the chairman of the Christmas Ball and the Foreign Student Carnival. Among Don's special interests and hobbies are hunting, fishing, skiing, and traveling. She is also treasurer of Beta. She has Worked hard to serve her school and community through Honoria, Student Council, and Honor Garde. Barbara is active in her re- ligious youth group and was a volunteer for the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Among the honors which she has obtained are being a graduation Herald and a finalist for the Foreign Exchange Student Program. 196 Dennis Wightman Serving his school With pride is Dennis Wight- man, Student Council president. Dennis has worked efficiently as sophomore class president, junior class representative, member of the Inter-Club Council, Career Day chairman, and as a Key Club member to make the school life more interesting throughout the years. Out of school, Dennis enjoys sports and music. He is an active member of the young people's society at his church and he was one of the six boys to attend Boy's State from our school. .7 L 1 ..
