National Forensic League Members Gain Poise Through Speaking To train the students in effective speaking and leadership in a democratic country are the goals of the National Forensic League. Griginated in 1955 under the sponsorship of Mrs. Hicks, the N.F.L. members participate in many local and out-of-town activities. This year some members have attended the state Student Con- gress at Florida State, a Discussion Conference at the University of Florida, and the State National Forensic League Tournament at Stetson Universi- OFFICERS OF N.F.L. are: Keith Barish, President, Mike Solomon, Corresponding Secretary, Roberta Messinger, ty. This group is also in charge of the Forensic Follies show at our school in which all of our clubs participate. Each year they have a pickle sale, and maintain the Speakers Bureau in which prom- inant people come to our school assemblies and talk.
