Schwartz, S. Finver, P. O' Leary, C. S .air Elaine Edwards, Irene Rosenwasser, and Lynda Reese go over some new F. T. A. information with their advisor, M rs. Rowe. The main purpose of F. T. A. is to help prepare students for the teaching profession so that they will have the knowledge of what to expect and how to best plan their preparation for this profes- sion. Sponsors are Mrs. Rowe and Mr. Joe Cox. The students receive a chance to put their learn- ing to work by teaching at Biscayne Elementary School. Some of the other activities in which the members participate are Tjeacher Appreciation Day, a bake sale, an annual 'dance, a field trip to the University of Miami, and Student Government Day. Each year the members participate in a convention Where they hear lectures relating to business. Future Busi- ness Leaders of America also hold an annual Mum Corsage sale.
