Spanish EnCOUraQeS German Club Promotes Latin American Friendship The Spanish Club, under the direction of Mrs. Hand, promotes interest in the Spanish language and the Latin American countries. 'clnternational friendship through Spanishv is shown in the students, eagerness to acquaint the student body with Spanish customs in a Pan Amer- ican Day program. Interest in German Culture Deutchland und Amerika hand mit anderen handv CGermany and America, hand in handj is motto of the German Club, Whose purpose is to' promote interest in German culture and to develop Sprach Gefuhllv Membership is determined by the studentis in- terest in the culture and language of Germany or his enrollment in the German class. Originated in 1959, the club, under the guidance of Mrs. Burke, displays the students, interest in conquering the ever-present language and cultural barriers of the countries of the world. Zimmerman, S. Kaplan, Science Club Emphasizes ,Research The Science Club at North Miami Senior High is open to any student who desires or has an in- terest to learn more about the sciences. The mem- bers experiment to try to find the answer to many different scientific problems. Most of these stu- dents have taken or are taking Chemistry, Biology, Advanced Biology, or Physics. Many of them plan to enter a profession which has some connection with the scientific field. In past years many of our students have received scholarships because of their interest and ability in science. Gathered outside our school are, ROW ONE: S. Leader, K. Moran, S. Rank, S. Adler, L. Mollov. ROW TWO: M. Corden, D. Kesden, R. Byrd, A. Bergman. ROW S. Leader, S. Rabk, L. Mollov, P. Rubenstein, D. Kesden. ROW FOUR: A. Bergman, M. Goldberg. ROW FIVE: F. Cassano, S. Kantrell, Mrs. Luck, M. Corden, D. Opresko. The questions of mathematical intricacies are further pursued by the members of the Math Club at North Miami. These students, having the de- sire to learn, delve into the problems of mathe- matics to learn the higher applications of math. Some of the senior members are in their fourth year of mathematics taking such courses as Math Analysis, Trigonometry, Solid Geometry, and Func- tional Four.
