Library Club Makes Readers Become Leaders Under the sponsorship of Mrs. Klingmeyer, these students render daily service to the student body and the faculty. GAA Teoches,Principles of Physical Fitness Girls are kept in tip-top shape through the Girls Athletic Association. Girls who are interested in sports such as volleyball, basketball, and softball comprise GAA's membership. Many of these girls who are interested in officiating take tests to quali- fy. Several of our girls have taken this test and are now certified volleyball officials. During the course of the year these girls have brought many honors back to North Miami High in their winning of the tournaments. G.A.A.'s officers pose in front of school. Audio - Visuol Aides Augment Teocher Instruction Our Steering Committee consists of Wayne Virag, Elaine Boryk, Mr. Bullington, Carol Kratman, Miss Hill, and Stanley Hanson. The Audio-Visual department is one of the busi- est organizations at North Miami High. It is re- sponsible for operating our motion picture ma- chines and slide projectors. Whether a class wants a tape recorder, or a record player, the Audio- Visual department will aid them. Steering Committee Assists in Testing The Steering Committee of North Miami High consists of two students from both the junior and senior classes who are interested in guidance work as a career. These students are under the direction of Miss Hill, who is in charge of our general testing program, and Mr. Bullington, head of the Guidance De- partment. These students assist in the major testing programs of our school and in the annual College Night. 113
