Responsible for guiding the school activities of 3,300 North Miami High students, the Student Council operates through representatives of each homeroom. New this year is a cabinet which serves with the elected officers on the executive board. Services performed by Student Council include a Friendship WVeek, Spirit VVeek, Poinciana F esti- val, an orientation assembly, pep rallies, the Alumni Dance and the Student of the Month program. Handbooks, decals, license plates and ribbons are sold in order to raise money. North Miami High is responsible for editing the Southern Association of Student Councils Journal. This publication is distributed to all high schools in the United States. Inter-Club Council, l.C.C., headed by the Vice President of Student Council, helps to coordinate the many activities of the various clubs.
