Not all our learning comes from the class room, for we learn from all we see and hear and do. Certainly one of the most productive of our sources of education is in our school organizations, for here We find the individual absorbed by the whole with all Working for the common good. Here We learn to bury self and work with others for the goal of the group, making work the princi- ple of democracy. Here we learn that the individu- al is not all, but an integral part of every organiza- tion, here we learn the importance of every mem- ber contributing his share in arriving at decisions and translating those decisions into positive action. Here are found millions of memories: memories of intimate committee meetings, heated elections, serious discussions, consultations with our advisors, and social revels in our parties . . . all form the pattern of moments we Want to remember.
