These services are ably performed by the TV Aides, pic- tured at right. They are Mrs. Long, Mrs. Allen, Mrs. Scott, and Mrs. Powers. wmv-v A true angel of mercy is Miss Yvette Soucy, our school nurse, . . . . , . for through the doors of her clinic come hundreds of students 3353521335 iqlxglfgaseiilgggiedknogledge m each day. gm.. VOCA TIO AL ARTS Machines are manifestations of man's creative- ness and inventiveness. They have shortened his work-day and lengthened his life. They have made lifedeasier and provided more comforts for man- kin . Machines are the tools which make men's dreams realities. Mountains are moved and canyons made with these products of man's mechanical mind. North Miami is favored, indeed, to have Well- equipped shops where our boys may master the use of machines and tools under the watchful guid- ance of men, expert not only as experienced teach- ers, but as men who have also made their mark in the world of machines. While the vocational arts courses are designed primarily for those planning to enter a vocation on graduation, they are also of tremendous value to those students planning to enter technical train- ing at college or university, for such courses as electronics, aeronautics, auto mechanics, and agri- culture are offered. Chairman of the Department is Mr. Lydzinski Members of the Department are: Seated, Mr. Hakam, Mr. Upthegrove, and Mr. Boden. Standing: Mr. Lydzinski and Mr. Lamont. Not Pictured is Mr. l l s Sistrunk. K l I l 5 1 I l Q 1 l l 5 I w 1 l I l -'-4 -efw-'vm-xx l 45
