gm.. VOCA TIO AL ARTS Machines are manifestations of man's creative- ness and inventiveness. They have shortened his work-day and lengthened his life. They have made lifedeasier and provided more comforts for man- kin . Machines are the tools which make men's dreams realities. Mountains are moved and canyons made with these products of man's mechanical mind. North Miami is favored, indeed, to have Well- equipped shops where our boys may master the use of machines and tools under the watchful guid- ance of men, expert not only as experienced teach- ers, but as men who have also made their mark in the world of machines. While the vocational arts courses are designed primarily for those planning to enter a vocation on graduation, they are also of tremendous value to those students planning to enter technical train- ing at college or university, for such courses as electronics, aeronautics, auto mechanics, and agri- culture are offered. Cirls develop skill in softball, basketball, and volleyball. Both girls and boys participate in the physical fit- ness program. Students also have an opportunity to bowl, to swim, and to take part in the gym- nastics program.
