Greeting all with his familiar, Welcoming smile, he hears, digests, and dispenses a decision, or kind advice, smoothing balm over a wound or arriving at a decision for a touchy problem. Burdened with the responsibility of administra- tion, the loneliness of decision, the load of details and records, he takes time to attend our activities and sports events, he ever stands ready to listen and to help as our friend and principal. His door is open to all, and in the short time Mr. W. E. Rice has been principal at North Miami High, he has Won the hearts and admiration of all. Across her desk come hundreds of absence excuses, requests, and complaints, but she handles all with the ease and skill born of patience and experience.
