The motto of Hi-Y is to create, maintain, and extend throughout the home, school, and com- munity, a high standard of Christian Character. Doris Conrad Sweetheart Ross McKelvey Treasurer Under the guidance of Mr. Cornell, sponsor, the boys of Hi-Y have par- ticipated in many projects. At the beginning of the year they put up signs throughout the school to help orientate the incoming sophomores. This year they also painted the Teach- er's Lounge, participated in the Foreign Student Week carnival, sold candy to aid the YMCA, and were of general service to the staff and stu- dents. Three members from our school went to Youth Legislature in Talla- hassee in which members of Hi-Y take over the state government. The only requirements for mem- bership in this club is to appear be- fore the board which is composed of the officers and sponsor. - I 4

DRAKES Promoting school spirit, and publi- cizing the swim team are among the many aims of the Drakes. Since its beginning at North Miami four years ago, this boys' social organization has raised money each year for the state swimming meet.
