RICHARD PETTY Typical of our forerunners, whose spirit and enthusiasm were never lacking, is Richard Petty. Richard symbolized to all the spirit of the Pioneers as he paced the sidelines, during the football season, dressed in the garb of the early American. His buoyant spirit and catching zeal caused even the most reluctant to cheer and avid followers to cheer more forcefully. Richard, a mem- ber of the basketball team and treasurer of the Senior Class, has attended North Miami less than two years. However, this Key Club- ber,s outstanding contributions have installed him in a place of high honor and given him the ad- miration and respect of the entire population of North Miami High. Enthusiastic, industrious, affable- these are the traits of one whose deeds will long be remembered- these are the characteristics of a true Pioneer.
