1 i The Pioneers played their final game of the '58 season in the Orange Bowl. The game and the rain both started at the sound of the whistle, and it druzzled through the second quarter. Half time found two wet teams in a zero to zero deadlock. In the second half, the spectators could hardly see the field as the rains poured down. In the third quarter, John Turek kicked from the Pioneers 16 yard line, his punt was excellent but N.M. lost 15 yards for holding penalty. His second punt was equally as good as the first but this time N.M. was offsides. His third attempt proved fatal for the Pioneers as the punt was blocked and Hialeah recovered in the N.Mfs end zone.
